Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
- 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tsp I Love Black Garlic Purée (or 2 peeled black garlic cloves, mashed)
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- Optional: 1 tbsp melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- Activate yeast Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Mix dough Stir in flour, salt, olive oil, fresh garlic, black garlic, and rosemary. Mix until a rough dough forms.
- Knead Turn onto a floured surface and knead 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add a little flour if sticky.
- First rise Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 40–45 minutes until doubled.
- Shape & bake Punch down dough and form into a round loaf. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Score top with a knife and brush with olive oil or butter.
- Bake Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
